As long as there ain't MG turrets spawning, the rage will be controlable. Good to see one of my old favorite map getting this overhaul.
Yeah, only ML's, no MG's. And it isn't a new skybox i'm afraid. I'm a noob, and i can't be bothered to learn how to make a skybox. Even if that means having to reuse the same one again and again.
Please report bugs in this topic as well Major bug 1: NF can't build a ref on the uttermost southwestern res spot (BE can as all spots were tested as BE comm)
I want more little buildings Like that new one in the mid north, I can't actually go in it. It would be more interesting if it was like the south, and had an exit on the little hill to the side of it. As in, you could actually go in it, and then pop out on that hill.
Newest version http://dl.dropbox.com/u/234836/mappi...h_26022011.rar Changelist: - Fixed broken res spot for NF - Improved location of some bushes (forgot one though) - Minor texture tweaks - Added resource props on active res spots - Readded the copyright file required by cgtextures.com
The new version files has some of the previous version number in their name like the materials/maps files, is this how it is supposed to be?
Yeah there's no visual changes from above, so the minimap has stayed the same. The resource file's name is updated, but it can safely keep referring to the old minimap files.
The files are present in this version as well, and the .res refers to those correctly, so you will get all files when connecting to a server that's playing it.
because i just asked silk why it isnt an official map shipped with empires and he couldnt answer me. why is this map still not official?
- Readded the copyright file required by cgtextures.com That (and I don't know because I'm not Brutos) might be holding it back. I.e. using non-source non-self-made textures from the interwebs.
so does that copyright prevents you to use it in a non-commercial manner? what does this license say?
Code: CONDITIONS OF USE Use of the Textures is only allowed under the following conditions: - Private or commercial use - Use in 2D or 3D computer graphics, movies and printed media - Incorporation in computer games, 3D models - Selling 3D models bundled with modified versions of the textures, when the texture is customized for the 3D model It is NOT permitted to: - Sell or distribute any of these textures in an unmodified form, or where the derived product you are selling or distributing is a Texture or a collection of Textures. This is from their site: I have used the textures on a 3D model/scene. Am I allowed to sell the model/scene and textures as a bundle? Yes, under the following condition: You have customized the textures for the 3D-model or scene, and you are selling the model and texture in one package. Please add the following text in the documentation accompanying the model: "One or more textures on this 3D-model have been created with images from CGTextures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default. Please visit www.cgtextures.com for more information." I have used some of the textures to create a map for a computer game. May I distribute this map? Yes, provided the textures are used in the map. In that case, you are allowed to bundle them and distribute them as a package. Please add the following text to the documentation of the map: "One or more textures on this map have been created with images from CGTextures.com. These images may not be redistributed by default. Please visit www.cgtextures.com for more information." Hence why i put it there. I never take their finished textures, i only take their photographes and make my own textures out of those. Edit: you beat me to it
Dunno if this is the right thread, or even the right part of the forum. In any event, there is some invisible vehicle clip brush or something at the spray in the screen below. It stops infantry too though, so idk.
