    Tried to log into steam after a 3 week pause and it looks like my account got hacked. Dont click on anything I send you.

    Maybe? I don't remember who gor hacked, only that someone was sending fishy links. I remember Arial sending one a few months back, and that's it.

    There were some massive waves of viruses which autospread themselves pretty effectively over steam social services, few months back.

    Mostly targetting the ingame items, rather than stealing accounts as those are very easy to recover. Steam was doing single time items recovery if you got scammed or viriied for the first time. After that people have to learn not to get scammed.
