    I enjoyed watching Gunsmithcats and Elvenlied when I was younger, but I wouldn't count that as anime. It differs a lot from the shit on this forum.

    While there is moe anime like K-on etc which is on one side of the spectrum...

    There is also anime on the opposite side like hellsing ultimate where they rip appart and devour infants...

    along with all the action, fantasy, adventure, romance, mecha, slice of life, comedy, sci-fi, horror, drama and fight animes...

    But ofc... If you think all anime is the moe type and never watch any anime... then you would never know.

    I was just watching Journey to the Centre of the Earth on Film, the credits started rolling and I went upstairs for like 10 minutes and I come down to find "Only Yesterday" playing on my TV, a scene full of naked children that anyone who walked past my house could have seen through the window. Fuck anime.

    Why is the framerate always so bad? Why is the art always terrible with no effort put into detail or animation. Why do they never get decent voice actors? What the fuck Japan? Make some decent cartoons ffs.

    as for voice actors, there is plenty of good ones.
    sadly enough a bunch of shitty animes tend to hire great voice actors that doesnt fit with the character and make them read shitty lines.

    All of those but the Nostromo one still have that weird jerky frame rate. :/

    I'll admit there have been animes that I've enjoyed, the Afro Samurai series being a personal favourite. That and a few Studio Ghibli ones (voice acting and animation is crappy but plus points for good directing a sheer magic.)

    What is with the obsession with spiky and oddly coloured hair? Its not in all of it but its fairly prolific.

    spiky hair isnt something that everyone has in every anime... just like the fact that every anime isnt about moe. -.-'
    diffrent hair colours however is often (almost always) used to give distinct diffrenses between characters or to enhance their personality/style. (and guess what, it works.)
