    I see in that photo they now have both NF and BE planes textured now

    I also hope the background is a 16x map :D

    Ok, time to spread the truth. That's not an ingame picture, only a few models are anywhere near done, it's just something that DonMegel made as an application to art school.

    There was no map. It's all done with programs like Maya/3dsMAX. Just a nice picture.

    the quality of models we've already seen :P
    At least we know the models are done, but it tells us nothing on weither the other models are done (which im gonna guess, they ain't :( )

    So the Blimps are a lie? Ugh, and here I thought that empires was going to try something new other than the generic f-16 wannabe vehicles available in every other FPS.

    LOL Sonata. Just a HUD and coding. Then why do we only have like 1/3 or 1/2 of the models? There is not a single person from the dev team focusing on airplanes.

    Surely there are some gifted moders on ModDb who'd give thier right arm to work on a mod as famous as empires. Its better than having no people at all

    indeed, finding some1 who makes the models shouldnt be too hard.

    (even i would like to make some models for empires, but atm i know only the basics :( ... but i learn)

    I'm pretty sure someone's making models, but just not aircraft.

    First comes an OB port, then comes a (possibly) huge update looking at some 'big' ideas i've seen mentioned here and there, and maybe after all that we'll see aircraft.

    Probably not though ... by then it's somewhere around 2009-2011, and both the source engine and empires won't stay young forever.
