Crash after app launch

    I downloaded the lastets version and installed it to the default directory. When I launch the game, it appears as if HL2 were launching (I get the Valve intro and the standard HL2 loading screen).
    I don't know if it's supposed to do this or not because after about a minute or two of "Loading" the application crashes. Any suggestions?

    Is this another case of only downloading the patch? You have to download the 1.0 installer then the patch along with it :)
