Since I don't use a mic I sometimes find it hard to get the attention of my teammates when commanding, so I thought it might be a nice to copy what Natural Selection did and implement a small ping whenever the commander types something and as expansion on that idea perhaps a louder buzz when he uses all caps to stress the importance of that message. *ping* "There's some vehicles coming from the west guys." *BUZZ* "MAIN IS GETTING RAPED!!!!"
Hmm not sure if I like the idea. It can get very annoying because most good commanders constantly talk with their team or just in general. So now imagine hearing a ping everytime he is just talking normally. I really think the current change of color works perfectly. I always notice it over the other colors of chat. My eyes draw to it because they can tell it's something different(ie comm talking). :]]
Not needed. Smart players go somewhere when the comm asks them too, dumb players will continue to ignore him. Whether it's a buzz sound or a guy yelling into his mic, it won't make a difference.
