You know what I hate? When a player builds a turret in one of those condensed spaces for which we need as much room as possible, and not to the side but in the middle so you cannot build the larger buildings, like in the ruins on duststorm where you are supposed to place the VF. We had a guy who did not decon it for like 5 minutes.
That's odd, I was always able to recycle a player's turrets/walls. Guessing that was in the previous version.
Wasnt this added in like 2.2 or 2.3 but removed, kind of like our saved points(cry)? I remember being to do so also... maybe I was just drunk
offtopic question: Why cant i place turrets on terrain which isnt 95% flat? It shows as green when i try to place it, but when i click the left mouse button the turret is not beeing placed and the green "ghost" turret dissapears as if i had placed it.
Either an enemy is too close to it, it is a bug where you just passed the area where the turret would be read and part of the turret is still in that red zone and it does not tell you so it cannot place it, or it is just an overall bug where it will not place.
YES. A turret in the exact wrong place can loose a game (by preventing the comm from dropping a rax where needed).
This has been needed for a long time. Personally, I think the commander should be able to recycle any engineer-buildable and empty vehicles.
Only if they are on top of a repair pad. Come to think of it you should be able to scrap your vehicle on the repair pad for money.
