I may have mentioned this elsewhere. I probably did. Anyway, I get outright horrendous lag while comming. And no, it's not necessarily because I'm on 56k. See, I've always got the net graph on, and if I open the console while comming, I can see the stats it displays. When I start comming, my inbound bandwidth use doesn't really change, but my outbound goes absolutely insane. As in, my outbound starts trying to use more upload bandwidth than I have. I don't know what it is about the comm view that sucks so much bandwidth, but it's rather odd. And very annoying. It only seems to happen on some servers, though I have yet to establish a common thread.
It's sending the raw position of your camera to the server. It's not very efficient (using text instead of straight integers), but this has been improved in 1.08.
