Anyways, your squad tactics have merit: Specifically because it really would scale with the game properly. Your solution is good for any chance of going commercial, but I still do like the commander aspect.

Regardless, it would be nice if at least a lot of gameplay bugs were fixed first, like orders from the comm to squads, or aircraft, or tank models, or in game sounds being shit, or making soldiers more aware of current research or... or... or.

i would like to state again that i support the ideas chris has presented as solution, they are not perfect, but they are the closest to perfect anyone has suggested

alsoi would like to state that i agree on chris being a dick from time to time, however i cannot recall where it corrupted his logic in some way, so i choose to tolerate it in favour of the good ideas he presents

 

I would like to state again that I disagree with the ideas Chris presents as a solution. They have multiple core design flaws which have not been satisfactorily addressed, serve to increase the learning curve and in some cases do not resolve the problems at all.
The problems that he is suggesting are solvable with evolutionary methods and his refusal to consider alternatives mean that the quality is unlikely to improve in the future.

 

I would like to state again that everyone who disagrees with me is wrong and probably insane and a criminal, whereas everyone who agrees with me is right and probably very handsome and rich.

 

I would like to state again that I like to troll, and that everyone in this thread has now lost the game Desu~. Being an insane criminal (read: troll), I would like to add that I completely and entirely think Chris's ideas both have some merits and some flaws.
