Okay, since empires is on steam. I decided to download it there, it came up with the "Steam Servers are too busy" So I decided to download from the client on the website, it came up with this error: Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy. More information at: http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error so, I fixed it with cmd by dragging the file into cmd and typing /NCRC. But during the download, this happened:Error Decompressing data! Corrupted installer? So I dont know what to do now. Please help?
The client from the website is outdated. It has to be the steam version. I recommend restarting steam to try and get it to download, or delete clientregistry.blob in your steam folder, restart steam, and then try again.
Exit Steam, delete clienregistry.blob and Appupdate.blob. Start Steam again and login. You sgould be able to install it after doing that.
What is odd though, is that I can download other mods. Just not empires, like when I got this error I decided to test and download age of chivalry. And that downloaded just fine
Did you try to change the content server? Where you in the beta and still have some old files? I have no idea what else might be causing it, this is confusing.
You are trying to install it over Steam right? Don't use Desura or Installers. Is it not even letting you download, or is it just keeping you from playing after the download? If you already managed to download it, verify the game cache.
