Today I wanted to join the EPIC Server ( 46.105.98.107:27020 ), but the game crashed. I still can create my own server or play on "Anitalink.com Empires" Server... but not on EPIC. I suppose the map "emp_snowstorm_rc6" is the problem? Or do I have a client problem?
No error message... the game was lagging. I couldn't press any button, or left the game because of heavy lags. I had to stop the hl2.exe via task manager... a view minutes ago, a tested to join, but the server (or my client) didn't work. The servers uses still the same map ( emp_snowstorm_rc6 ) and still no players on it... perhaps something ist going wrong?
if you are lagging while moving your mouse and everything runs fine otherwise: try uninstalling winamp if you got it had the same problem
@ f1r3w4rr10r and Trickster No, I don't have winamp or a Internet Download Manager... Hm, all the day I saw the same map on EPIC and no players on it. Tomorrow I will reinstall Empires, hope that's the solution

Jane, it turns out there was a problem, emp_snowstorm had crashed the server after leaving it idling, I'll speak to the original mapper, thanks for finding this. Turns out the server has been unjoinable for about 3 days.
It's the map, not the server, the crash was related to an overflow of entities meaning that it hit the source engine limit, so it must be map related.
