Im assuming that this is not possible... but i would love for it to be implimented. Could lead to some interesting maps (like the one i have in mind) i can't imagine putting this in would be to hard.. though it might be a pain in the ass..
yeh I wanted a brushbased vf... The problem with a normal vf is it can be destroyed and can't be captured A map with a capturable factory would be great
It's simple: create a VF, then put brushes around it so nothing is still shootable. When you try it ingame, yuo'll see you can still spawn vehicles and walk inside, but it can't be destroyed. I'm not sure if explosions can go through walls though, and there are no render modes for the buildings yet, so you can't set it to "don't render".
It would be cool if it could be destroyed, and it would become a translucent edition of itself. then it would need to be built, and recaptured. so you can still assasinate their VF. :D
went on hammer to have a search for anything that seemed even remotly related to brush based vf's... found nothing.
You can make a respawning VF using a point_template. You could also have it change teams by tying it to the status of a flag (NF captures, destroy BE vf, place NF vf, and vice versa). All of this would be possible using the current entities.
