binoculars - scrollable zoom

    in the dystopia mod, you can use the mouse scroll function to zoom in/out more with the laser rifle.

    i was thinking binoculars should have a similar function.

    pros
    -makes scout's binoculars a little more helpful
    -scouts could be used as.. well.. scouts. when zoomed in enough they could actually be helpful for reconisance (how the hell do u spell that?)

    cons
    -may be confusing for newbies

    other stuff
    they should be able to zoom over a very wide range (maybe 2x-16x)

    i just thought of this when I saw chris01's thread.

    the sensitivity of the mouse should decrease with the level of zoom,

    so being zoomed x20 would mean that moving the mouse moves the crosshair 1/20th of the angle that it normally would. currently, the mouse becomes ultra sensitive at high zoom levels, which is irritating and not very classy.

    only for zooming in general. It's not related too how far you're actually zoomed in..

    although just put in you scouts cfg file
    zoom_sensitivity_ratio ".05"
    which makes it ten times less sensitive than the normal zoom.. :P
    oh and don't forget to put
    zoom_sensitivity_ratio ".5"
    in every cfg of the other classes

    dystopia does the same thing (more sensitive with zoom) im used to it though and therefor like it...

    if left and right both have zoom functions how do u leave binocs?

    oh i get it so like u just keep zoooming out..

    it could definately work but i like the scroooollll wheeeel
