You are using wrong definition of nationalism. Nationalism is a belief that major ethnic groups called nations should have their own countries. What you were talking about was chauvinism.

I hate international football because the level of play is just that much lower than club football (unless you're watching Spain). I usually hate the English football team, although this year they've got quite a few Manchester United players, which is nice. But Manchester United are my only footballing love. Everyone else can go fuck themselves.
