Eh, I don't know Snipes it just doesn't look BE. I mean, NF's aircraft tended to go towards fan based propulsion, and that would be out-dated tech or at least older tech, so for BE I expect something like a jet engine.

Can you post some screenshots with full lighting? Some of the best angles are obstructed with annoyingly dark shadows.

No offencive here but part of waht makes NF and BE is the models

since we dont really have that much of them the small accents can be changed very quickly if needed

my point is that if this is what the devs or whoever is in charge want to be BE then this is BE

also i dont like the model, it just doesnt look good and appealing

why dont you try to design a new light transport craft to quickly drop troops into hot action sirsnipes? start with the idea that it is not a game but you really are designing this craft for the bertonian military, try picking a propultion system that is flexible and rigid

try to design something more functional from the ground up, dont take ANY "spacy sci fi" influences besides for stuff you see already ingame so for example you could use some influences of russian helecopters like the "sikorsky-S64", and try to build from a mechanic and designer perspective a new craft that is going to get the boots on the ground from place to place and possibly from carrier to land quickly and efficiently

Isn't the transport done? I could have sworn the model was littered around a few maps.

    yea but its like... "okayish"

if people want to make new models of existing stuff they should be supported imo, this will eventually make a lot of good models

I know, it just seems like it would be better to do what doesn't exits first, so that new things can be added. the old stuff can always be replaced later.

when you have volunteers actually doing work, it is better not to complain too much

I'm not complaining. In my view it is just redundant to redo something that works when there is a need for something that doesn't yet exist.

there is always a need, nothing is perfect

priorities are the death coffin of perfection

Wait, what? You're saying the replacement of an existing model is a higher priority than creating a model to remedy the non-existence of one that's also needed?

It's a much better design than the previous one, I think if you make it more detailed it'll look very good. The engines for example can be made round, at the moment it looks like a very low poly version of a good concept.

    suggestion, dont "trow it in"

try to mimic how it looks in real life

Before doing landing gear, ask a dev what the plans are for how aircraft land. It may have changed, but from what I recall there was going to be a minimum altitude you could go in flight mode, and you have to change to landing mode in order to go lower than that altitude. This would deploy the landing gear and greatly reduce horizontal movement. The intent was/is to prevent people using the aircraft as overpowered hover-tanks, and force them to fly like an aircraft should, taking runs at targets instead of hovering point-and-shoot.

    No it was not.

An NF dropship was requested, but that model was recovered from Megel.
