I've been thinking. BE need to get some real cool gadgets on their weapons, such as aimpoint sights, little blue lights, and other cool things.
So I made some sketches with "first-person gun silhouettes".
What do I want to explore with this? Well, I want to create distinct visuals for each weapon, and have them tied into the "technology" of the team, BE in this case.
To do this, tell me which one of the thumbnails you like most, or parts of which you like most, also feel free to post pictures of other game and real-life guns, and point towards parts you like.
After that we mix all the stuff we like, shake and bake, and hopefully make interesting guns that everyone likes.

    It actually makes no sense.

The human eye is trained to see Green and Yellow, Blue hurts our eyes and makes it hard to concentrate.

But from a style perspective I agree 100%

I like the all of the guns on the left.

I kinda went with the blue lights since they already exist in BE, since that would be recognizeable.

Dizzyone was working on a sight like in image #1, but the drive got corrupted and he lost a lot of work. I always loved it and thought it would be a great replacement for the current ironsights. of the rifles.

I like that a lot. Maybe make the butt hinge downward, as part of the animations like the NF SMG1 unfolding, since it looks like it would perfectly fit over the handle.

That looks like a spec ops type weapon.

smg looks very heavy. The "hull" of the gun is very big, like it would have a built-in grenade launcher, but it hasn't got one. The barrel should be moved a bit up, I think, as aiming with a rifle is easier when You can see the end of the barrel through the |_i_| crosshair thingie, and it only has one point of aiming. It would be very hard to aim with this gun, I think, so it doesn't look real (unless We give it a laser pointer).

How about I make quick 3d sketches of gun 2 (assault rifle/BECAR) and gun 3 (proposed BEShotgun) and post some first-person views of them?

It would help much indeed, especially with beCAR. Is it a bulpup, like steyr-aug?

    Yes indeed it is.
The SMG has got an aimpoint sight, hence the strange looks of it.
Aimpoint (from my own experience with it) is a magical device of wonders.
Especially the parallax-free sights. Really the weapon becomes just "point and click" and not "align, point and click", since the point shows the spot where the bullets go even if you arent looking straight through it. Aimpoint is also helluva more high-tech than ironsights, hence my idea of using it for ALL Brenodi weapons that have ironsights now.
Lemme just get home and model these guys.

    edit: ere we go!

front grip for shotgun, methinks just make it flat against the shotgun itself.
