Modular weapons means that the vehicles weapon is a separate model entirely. Depending on what weapon(s) are/is loaded, the vehicle will have additional vehicular weapon models mounted on it to reflect each specific weapon. In the case of a jeep, you would be able to see the difference between a chaingun (rotary multi-barrel weapon) and a machinegun.
Well it's a nice model, but it did remind me of Jurassic Park alot (haha! blizzerd), and i'm not sure if it'll really be 'right' for empires as it is. It's certainly not worse than what we have, but it's a little square for an NF jeep really. Bottom line is, it can still be changed to fit a little more. If you want it to.
I like the modular weapons idea, if it is what Jek said. And it is better than the current NF jeep. But I stand by my point that it looks better as a BE jeep, with the NF sidewinder having no reason not to fill the old jeep position for NF.
This, sureleh? :p Originally it was "fuckin' A"...although i'm a little surprised more aren't on HSM's wavelength
That jeep model belongs in UT2007, I mean fucking hell, go get hired by Epic Games as a game modeler! That's brilliant!
Looking at the last few pages I guess I am one of the few people actually liking that truck much more than that beachbuggy. Good model!
I understand your point, Megel, that sidewinder is a dune buggy and it can't carry much equipment but... Aren't APCs for that? At least currently Empires let's you understand that. Look at the BE's jeep. You barely can even fit your very basic backpacks there not to meantion all your ammo and guns... Same with the NF jeep if you have all 4 seats covered. I agree that taurus does fulfill this "equipment carrying" part but it does not fulfill the war machine part. It's just a flashy shiny brand new Ford out of the factory with the latest fashion on it. Then someone bolted all their equipment on top of it and drove to war. This is not NF's style. That belongs more to BE but even they aren't so fashion aligned or care how things look. They care how things are effective. Or at least their current design let's you understand that way. If we look at the sidewinder, we have actually a big space there for equipment compared to the amount it carries personnels. You ask where? Under the "hood" or that room in front of the car, between the front wheels. The engine is at the back, so I would assume with the fuel and oil tanks and what not brake fluid tanks. Only thing taking the room at the front is steering mechanisms which are mostly just some axles, a few joints and gears. If we really want to fit more equipment in the sidewinder, we could make it a bit longer between the turret and driver's seat and remove that wall which is between the driver's seat and the gun foxhole. Then we could add doors to the car instead of open holes so the gunner won't get shot to his legs. This way we would efficiently get more room for equipment when they are around the gunner's legs or if need comes the gunner could even crouch on top of them if there were plenty of them. This would allow equipment carried by the jeep what is you want a jeep to fulfill in the future, Don Megel, don't you? At least I got that impression from your posts. Consider this. (In other words, I too want the sidewinder for NF.)
