I've been watching this game for while, & they recently released their first trailer. I find it amazing that EA is actually making a free game  (Though they said they will be selling items, similar to those free Korean games. From what I heard it's mainly cosmetic) . Discuss & whatnot. Update: It's out!
awesome trailer, i especially liked the part about being repeatdly shot in the face by a 15 years old. i wonder what the map size / player limit will be
Looks like a clone of TF2 mixed with BF to me, but HEY I'm of to download this ! :D I wonder what the bad sides are..
If it'll run well on my laptop, then i'm all for it. Its so hard to find popular games that can actually run on it (hl2 doesn't even run :-( )
I think they are trying to redeem themselves for all the expansions and 2142!!! It looks like 1942 in third person (wouldn't mind the third person terribly much). 1942 did need an upgrade, being the best battlefield game in my oppinion. And if your worried about the cost, remember. If it was gritty, than they would have to make you buy it . (Hint: EA going to screw us by giving ownage weapons to people who pay for items)
The EA board consists of douchebags and faggots who only know 1 word: money. Battlefield Heroes is gonna get released for free, but you have to pay for weapons, items, equipment overall hell maybe even a pilots license. EA sucks, and that cant be changed. BTW, ive read an article about an attempt from EA to take over Rockstar Games !!!!!!
Math class time our constants: EA = Greedy ass spelunkers. Battlefield 2, 2142 = Horrible our derivation EA + DICE = Battlefield 2, 2142. EA - Money = they don't even bother. DICE - EA = more potential to make a good game. so... Dice = more potential Without the LAMEthrowers from EA burning everything they touch, their partners might actually have a shot at making a good and fun game.
Lets not forget that EA is publishing Spore and they're really giving Will Wright a lot of liberties with that. Also, they're making the Sims Carnival Games, an online youtube-esque casual games website. All publishers want to make money, EA is just following the way the industry is moving. Casual gamers are becoming a huge part of the market and everyone (yes, everyone) is trying to capitalize on that. As for payments, if you really enjoy the game is it going to kill you to spend a couple extra bucks to get the most out of it?
I heard they weren't going to be selling weapons but rather items to put on your character like eye patches & little things like that to add to your character. Again similar to most free Korean MMOs. They're actually trying to buy Take-Two, it just so happens that Take-Two owns Rockstar games as well as 2K Games/Sports among other game companies. As far as I've heard they (T2) refused to make any deals until April 30th (The day after GTA IV is released).
Didn't they say that the buy system would NOT make those who buyed things there more powerful than those who didn't? First thing I read: "Hello Heroes, I am happy to inform you that you can now purchase Battlefunds via Paypal. So if you were dying to customize your Hero with awesome clothing items, level up faster with the XP Boost or earn more Valor Points with the VP Boost widget, but didn't have a credit card, this is your lucky day! Smile Cheers!" http://www.battlefieldheroes.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=39954
Dont knock it down. For a free browser based TPS in its beta stage I'm having alot of fun with the game. ANd no paying money doesnt make you have better weapons. Just cooler looking clothes, or more heroes. and yes its in its open beta stage now so anyone can jump in and play. give it a try you might like it
