Removing sniper rifle was stupid. Some other ideas were even more stupid. But it wins my personal award. "It's going to prevent apc rushes" - you dont need spawnpoint in apc when you have 7riflemen with stickies and one scout with stun sticky to kill comm But its going to slow down dynamic gameplay, bringing "cap-as-much-as-you-can-and-get-heavies" Yes, we need it! Its not a research you need long time to get and its at a possition where you not waste money or time to get it.

i think i have found the hint on the release date this title has clearly a hidden message in binary code: (111) (one oen) (elevenone) (111) (0101) (1101) in binary this forms the date: 7 - 5 - 2013 its ether this, or i was joking
i think it's a good idea. No more rush 1 minute into the game into the enemies base with a lone APC full of people spawning. This will also make the reserach in advanced machining worth opening.
You can use the cv from start, you just can't drive with it for the first 60 seconds (which i think is adjustable). This prevents comm rushes (think mvalley north, slaughtered east, ... any map actually) which often results in 4 minute games, especially if the cv gets walled in on the other side of the map. You can place buildings etc from start though. And i'm glad early apc rushes will be less problematic as well.
That's my only concern with it. What if a small map gets released, in which people can get to the enemy cv in less than 60 seconds.
I don't like the idea, it will enourage rax spam, and people won't go for the combat APC route (hemg, dumg) but instead rush HE meds etc, because they'd have to research spawnpoint (which is the only reason why one goes for the combat apc route, the multiple spawn points all over the map).
Personally, I think it will really encourage teamwork. Now you can't just make and APC, rush the enemy base, and scream KILLSPAWN until your entire team is raping and pillaging the enemy base. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy raping and pillaging and am glad APC spawning is a researchable tech, but I think this will really make APC drivers have to pick up teammates and make them want to work together if their rush is to be successful.
Good changes, especially the comm thing. The comm rushing business is an annoying tactic because its illogical, high risk, and your team fails if you don't.
Personally I preferred the idea of slowing the APC down and limiting the number of spawns per second or increasing the spawn time required to spawn in an APC.
I'm a little confused, so I'm going to assume y'all are talking about testing the new patch, and not assume that the patch has already come out. That would be interesting to see apc spawn and sniper rifle as researchable, heh.
