    I have many Asian friends, but one thing about manga has always bugged me that they refuse to talk about.

    Why do all characters have super white skin, huge blue/green eyes and blonde hair?

    Do asians not like asians in manga or something?

    The answer is quite simple. Asians are racist towards Asians.

    for quick recognition of emotions and reactions it's better to enhance certain features. (and its plainly easier workwise aswell)
    also asians have a diffrent focus for processing of faces compared to westerners.
    red = general focus of westerners
    blue = asians

    in the past fair skin was a thing that only nobles and geishas had in japan and was (and kind of is) considered a beuty thing.
    Large eyes is also a beuty/youth thing and its overdone due to the recognition mentioned earlier.
    (Hence magibon got million of views of her staring into a camera....)

    There is racism within Asians. It seems that darkies have teh short end of the straw everywhere. Dark skinned asians are viewed as inferior to Light/Fair skinned asians. Mainly, its an aesthetic thing. Japanese think they are superior. Chinese think they are superior. Koreans think they are superior. But the three above all feel superior above the south asians or arboriginals.
