Ok well I just ran into a problem on the map I am creating. I have found that absolutely no sounds will work with the ambient_generic entity. They will work and are previewable within hammer, but nothing happens in-game. I have the flags set up right (it should be playing as soon as the map loads). Any body have any idea why it won't work? Thanks. Edit: I am using only raw .wav for sound, not scripts.
Make sure you have the "play everywhere" flag set, if you want to hear it globally. They are normally proximity-sensitive.
Forgot to post but I got it working somehow. I think I might have had its volume and hearing area to small.
