My account is still compromised... for the first time in 10+ years
I think I have any bad things in my computer ;p, more like I've had a database breach. Although, I can rule out something in my computer. It would appear they know 2 of the account names I use and 2 of the passwords I use.

Want a pro-tip? Dont use Facebook. But if you like being spied on and having your data collected and zero online privacy then go for it.

Coincidently, someone else on facebook had their facebook account compromised last night when I saw the feed. Probably a coincidence.

You reuse passwords? The fuck were you expecting?

Unique passwords are essential every damn time.

Use some kind of password manager like lastpass to make it easier.

You don't need unique passwords, you just need to not be a dumbass with them.

No, you do need unique passwords & 2 factor authentication wherever possible. Why choose to be the low hanging fruit.

Can someone who knows their shit make a thread about security? I'm super fucking lazy with my passwords. I just have 2 and I use them for everything, and that's kind of poor. I'm also not really familiar with password managers and shit.

some common misconception about secure passwords ...

anyway what works best against getting your stuff hijacked is installing brain.exe - simply dont klick every shit people send you. if you cant confirm a link and cant control your curiosity visit it from a live-install or a VM.

But the second example on that image would be vulnerable to a dictionary based brute force attack....

Also I use a main password for unimportant shit like forums ect and I use unique passwords for important stuff.
I also use truecrypt to keep an encrypted file with passwords in (execpt the encryption key lol) just in case I forget one.
