Apple has announced a special event on September 9 at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts, De Anza College. This event is widely rumored to introduce the iPhone 6 and a new wearable device dubbed the "iWatch." Apple seems to be constructing some kind of building next to the Flint Center specifically for this event. Of course it is covered up for now. Current speculation includes the possibility that it is some kind of mock home that showcases the home integration capabilities of the iWatch and potentially other devices (since iOS 8 will have HomeKit). It seems quite big for a home though. Maybe it will have an indoor lawn and garage too, plus a separate space for the attendees who are in the building but not exploring the home. (More pictures can be seen here and the specific location of the structure is here.)
It's just a white box, there's no architectural design, no art. It's not ironic or stylish, it's just literally a box. Who cares?
It's about what is inside the box that requires such a box! Maybe gigantic iPhones! Or iWatches! Or those surprises no one expects! It will be awesome! Fantastic! Magical!
I'm just surprised that they're constructing this in De Anza rather than in Stanford, given Stanford's reputation as an extremely tech-orientated university. Then again, that might be the very reason why Apple isn't constructing it in Stanford...
I've been to Mendoza, Santiago, many places in the US, and Toronto. I also have no idea what you mean, white boxes have no place anywhere in the world. If you think they look good, well, you have shit taste. You might think that this apple design has anything to do with the modernist cubic/primitive-geometric-shape rich people houses, but it doesn't really and those houses are eye sores as well.
Yes ! Thank you mcg, you allowed me to make this shitty wrestling reference! The count is well in its teens now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JODV1xJNlrU Commentators=Apple and their boyz
... what? Man, I'm getting tired of this. Somebody posts something Somebody else puts them down to make themselves feel superior Repeat Heck, this post itself actually follows the pattern.
Because it's hard to point it out without dipping your toe in the hypocrisy pool. But don't worry, the water is juuuuust fine.
Some people are so dissatisfied with their life that they feel the need to pass the time with shitposting.
What we need here are more female emotions! http://www.ailynlatorrephotography.com/blog/why-i-cried-at-the-apple-store/
