trust me it's only one nuclear plant that is having problems because its cooling systems are down, if the earth quake was under them, more than one nuclear plant would have issues and would for sure have leaks. I don't think you can grasp the magnitude of this quake and I have survived a 7.0 quake and saw the destruction to an area that was already made with earthquake protection in mind.
The earthquake wasn't the big deal. They have them all the time and their buildings are designed with earthquakes in mind. Now, tsunamis on the other had, not much but to get up high and hope your house stays on it's foundations. I hope nothing goes wrong with their nuclear reactors though. Though you do have a point if the epicenter were closer to land, it would have messed up the nuclear plants a tad worse.
Yeah they have them all the time but not 8.0's! I mean you can do as much as you can to protect agianst earth quakes, like making the building sway with it but still when you get a quake that big it doesn't matter what you do. The earth will rip open underneath you. And this quake wasn't directly under them that's why the tsunami has caused more damage.
Nuclear plant isn't even a danger they just don't want to destroy it. Everyone keeps talking like it will blow up if they don't get the coolant. They just don't want to have to kill the plant because they are fucking expensive.
I get where dubee is coming from.. (and this is the ONLY time i wil agree with him in the forseeable future). They are lucky that is wasn't mainland.. that said their still unlucky to be hit by one. their net luck is negative.. but it could have been majorly worse. Also vulk don't lump Canada in with alu-ima-card... just BC
