and COD.. But RPG's still need to be guided behind cover. I think its a bigger issue atm because the rpg speed was nerfed again. Maybe a stronger RPG against tanks could fix this? Cause it's like you survive guiding a slow RPG to tank an it takes off like a half a plate lol..
You guys are making things complicated. Rip a page out from Starcraft or something > give the radar X amount of energy/add resource cost/whatever - give the commander the ability to perform a radar sweep with by selecting an area. All enemy targets caught in the sweep will light up as targets for X seconds. All that remains is to set a balanced enough range for a sweep and an appropriate cost/duration. Commander will be able to target stuff, but not spam-target which results in him actually being able to command without being bored to death, and at the same time not making the targeting feature OP'd. In addition maybe it will give a team a reason to build multiple radars assuming it will be this "energy" cost on it. Win across the board. Feel free to counter-argue my super-awesome idea of awesomeness that have probably been suggested in the past.
Implement targets again pl0x, even if only for single targets, not only are they the only working way to lead your team, they also give you something to do as commander ... spamming target locations for single targets works, too, but is ANNOYING
