This test will be a balance test. Several games will be played to judge how these changes effect normal normal gameplay. At least 20 testers will be required. The test will last as long as there are testers. Please, do not use this thread for feedback, and hold feedback until after you have attended a test. Use the Tester Build Feedback section with the correct header of "[2.26]" for feedback threads. Test was scheduled on this See this thread for a changelog up to 261. Relevant changes since 261: -Empty's particle patch 1 now in the svn. -empties request: changed sml particle into actual sml particles, and made HEMG into armor piercing for some reason Pickled's Infantry changes may be in the SVN for this test.
Armor piercing removes the ugly ass HL2 explosion at the point of impact. I doubt anyone will miss the splash.
DU and BioMG damage buildings so it should be fine. It still uses HEMG resist so it will behave the same apart from a lack of splash.
Test a bust. Too few people. Edit: Oh yea, and about half of the testers (all 8-10 of them) didn't like the ebuild changes.
sorry had no idea once again. perhaps there needs to be a better way to inform us... hey its going to happen. Hardly anything happens in this part of the forum I rarely check it.
We have the scheduleing of events in the steam tester group, announcements there, these threads here, posts in the Attetion testers thread and ive asked for a newspost on the main page(since I cant do that). What other ways would work better for you? Is there any specific way that you think would work well?
Testers get mass PM. Make a PM to a tester group and the forum copies the PM to anyone in that group?
PM's useless? You don't pay attention to the box that pops up when you log into the forums? I can't help but notice something in my way of seeing the forum. Im not talking about PMing ppl just before the PUG starts.. im talking about a PM like 2-3 days in advance.
Plus the email you get with PM's help. We never had a problem getting full test servers in 2.0(1.8) testing. Why? I dunno maybe cause it was closed off to the public and only given to certain vets/clanners. Another reason for me at least was because the server and test times were very American friendly. Weekday nights also work better for me compared to weekends when I typically not want to be at home were as I am home every weeknight and could prolly test 5 times a week compared to the maybe once a week.. Tests back then were the best way to have fun(basically vet pugs). Seems like now people think fun is specing rainbow road. Also at the rate krenzo was adding features and bug fixes it was amazing. I mean literally what the dev team has done in the last year krenzo would do in a month.
