Why not simply make carbine scoped (for the sake of it) and give shotty to scout as I planned? Problem solved.
You don't need a scope to snipe with the 50 or the carbine. The HMG will not be a threat at a certain range, both of those rifles can take him out with ease. The problem I see here is that it takes riflemen to counter riflemen.
Who says that middle ref is a double ref? If it is really a double ref, then the minimap must be fixed.
Except there's no such thing as a double ref. Ergo you are all fucking dumb. Middle isn't worth double of anywhere if you've got more than 12 players. Check the VMF. Player multiplier doesn't work like that. So actually, I ALWAYS go ruins. Ruins are vastly superior, more cover, more resources.
Trick: Were all fucking dumb cause we play a game for fun and have always been told its double res.. I guess we should of spent time reading scripts/VMF's and learning every aspect to a FUCKING GAME. Middle of duststorm is still nice to have for quicker routes and the dam on Mvalley is still nice to have because then you can take the enemy base after.
Every single supposed "double" ref doesn't exist. It's not about duststorm specifically, there is no such thing as a double refinery past 12 players, on ANY map. I made the mistake myself on money revisited. Also, HMG got falloff raped in 2.25.
Back to main topic: I still see no need for an effective scout rifle. You don't need it in the middle of duststorm or any other map to counter attacks. Trickster: Why you don't have just removed it from your scripts. Maybe give scouts a buffed pistol2 instead of this. For me the SMGs would be enough. I play quite often scout and mostly I do a good job for my team.
Don't go around calling everyone fucking dumb unless they're actually being fucking dumb please. The refs are still worth more, regardless of how ref scaling works.
scout rifle should be like DRAGON RAGE in pokemon and to constant damage regardless of distance (40), except headshots which would scale with falloff from 80 or something

the move, dragon rage, does constant 40 damage to opponents regardless of pokemon types, levels, etc.
thats still 2 head/3 body shots, imo very unimaginative for a sniper rifle - and dont try to get me with "but its a scoped rifle" - general perception of this abomination disagrees ...
it fills the niche of ranged combat as it would have consistent effectiveness regardless of range. it's the antithesis of inconsistent rifles and submachine guns.
i mean, ppl will try to use it like any bolt action scoped rifle in CS/MW/BF and find out that it just doesnt do what they expect, then think "wow thats a bullshit weapon". i dont get why we would need such thing as a scoped rifle in that mod anyway. in terms of empires (open maps because of building plus not enough vegetation due to engine limits) a deadly scout rifle would only be gamebreaking ... finally, snipers are overdone anyway ...
Who the fuck cares if a noob can't use the weapon. Go play dystopia and ask a noob if the laser pistol is good, he'll be like 'lol no' then go play some competetive and watch your ass get raped by lights with lazahs.
