I have had no issues with any of the effects, the biggest problem I've ever had has been nukes blocking my vision for say, 2 seconds, but really it's not a huge issue, anyway, I don't hear anyone complaining seismics shake your view making it hard to aim, or that you can't see enemies behind walls. You guys should go play ARMA, that shit gets intense, 6 waves of smoke artillery on your position, not fun.
They're much smaller, mainly in height and screen space taken up. The radius of the effect is pretty similar though.
Flasche what I described was not funny but fun.. Not being able to see something this great rag doll body feature brings like a guy doing back flips after being blown up would suck. I started to play this game for fun, not funnies.. I hate that rainbow road/mic spam gimmick map shit. But I love outrageous gore and flying rag doll body's which are often missed because of immersion(smoke) I think one of the best parts of this engine is the rag doll bodys. I hate how in COD you see some death animation then a rag doll body.
Gayest thing is the ragdolls aren't synced. It'd be far more interesting if everybody saw the same thing.
The True Reality of New Particles 2.25 particles New particles (always goes below 30fps) Using particle pack (doesn't work now) Now here are the "real-life" screenshots. Fancy arty debris Fancy smoke Normal battle Terrible non-realistic smoke Having you tried moving your mouse at 0fps?
The problem is that those massive smoke clouds only work on completly open maps like mvalley or duststorm.
Doubt we can ever revert back anyway. We just need a particle pack to replace all this dumb shit. It's not cheating when people with better computers have no problem and we with the shittier computers can barely aim. Every commercial game has the option to use no or low particle effects. Looking for something like Pickled's pack...how does one edit particles anyway? Can you replace them with a 0 byte file?
