i never had problems with crashes in 2.0 or 2.1, but with the hotfix i crash continously (i dont count the missing entity disconnects in 2.1 as a crash). does anyone else have this problem? ill send the .mdmp files to Krenzo. im now deleting all empires files and reinstalling them. maybe this might help. EDIT: reinstalling didnt help. same as before.
V2.11 crashed during mapload last night. I've sent the crashdump, too. It doesn't seam to happen often because I've played hours yesterday and it just happend once...
great. cant play empires anymore. 2.11 crashes every 5-15mins, in 2.1 i get disconnected continously because of missing entity and i saw only one 2.0 server with 0 players ... i hope this bug will be fixed soon.
I wish I could say something more useful than me too, but that's about all I can say. My crashes have mostly seemed to occur when I entered the comm vehicle, or placing engineer objects, but they happen at other times too.
Only time I have crashed repeatedly was after so many structures have been built. I have had problems where after I have placed one type of turret and recycled it, and go to place the other type, the first type (say i place mg and then recycle it, then go to place an ML turret as engineer) model (in this case mg) would display instead of the ML, or they would both show up. Other than that, i sent you my dumps for the com crashes.
problem solved. krenzo said i have a bad install and that i should redownload the patches. to my surprise it works now fine.
By the looks of things that's my problem, the installer doesn't have an icon so chances are that it's corrupt.
I've had a lot of crashes too.. when i make a vehicle, then sometimes i crash afterwards. Im walking, then I crash. I never had any crashes in 2.0.
