yeah, one of my friends can only get satallite where he lives, which sucks for gaming anyways, so I don't really see him online ever. Niarbeht, don't move just for internet access, that moves you into a plateau of geekdom that is quite dangerous. Have you looked into microwave ISPs? They're not the biggest players in telecomm, but that could solve some of your troubles if its available in your area.
You can get internet for satalite. We use it in our RV When we go to the beach and crapola. Its kind of expencive however, 100 dollers a month. And 5000 dollers, For the special satalite that recives and sends. But its Faster then DSL, And the same as Cable. http://dishtv.com/
Yeah, but I've heard horror stories of how it lags like hell, and how your DL/UL rates drop dramatically during peak hours. Satellite: expensive, laggy, and not guaranteed bandwidth. Bad.
i mesured this with a yard stick. but seriously i retract the above statement and wish to say, imo it runs better now, and leave you all wondering what "it" is, this way you cant get the wrong idea because i didn't politicaly state what "it" is. what you should do however is download and install to play because "it" runing much better now and is more fun to play.
satilite is fast... super fast. but it takes a second or 2 (figurativly) to start or change information gathering, thus resulting in very high speed, but very high lag.
