1.06 linux server bugged

I installed 1.06 on linux using two methods. Both give the same result.

1st method: unzip 1.01 and 1.06
2nd method: unzip 1.01, 1.05 and 1.06

Server loads the map. Everything looks ok. But when trying to connect I get this message: Server uses different class tables. My client version is 1.063.

Do we have any linux admins here? If so check if you get this bug.

 

Damn these class tables being different, it's just preposterous.

 

I just checked the 1.06 servers. 4 out of 8 1.06 servers running gave me this error.

 

So probably those were Linux servers that noone tested after the upgrade. Windows servers such like Official and Stormed are working.

I can always replace him if I get the empires code. Already tried to compile hl2mp under linux.

 

That was that script kiddy who claimed to know how to program, but all he knew how to do was change the color of rocket trails. Then when I gave him the boot, he tried to release the v1.0 source code to the internet.

Rick is the one who compiles the linux server.

Girlfriend? This was a little runt of a 15 year old kid who probably didn't have pubes yet, let alone a girlfriend. The internet detectives hunted down pictures of him and his personal info because they didn't want to see the little douche ruin Empires, so I know. Let's not waste anymore of our time by discussing him.

Ok, we found the problem. When I added some new files to the source, they weren't included in the build by default due to not updating the project file.

don't forget to rename the file to server_i486.so or it won't work.

 

Rename? You're supposed to decompress it.
