Version 1.06 will not be made available over the weekend in a break from our usual release schedule. I'll be gone on a short vacation over the holiday weekend, and we're holding onto this release a bit longer to include a major update to weapons. Our weapon models are getting improved skins and animations as well as the addition of iron sights for all rifles. Secondary fire will bring up the iron sights in addition to zooming the player's view. One new map will be included, done by Doobie and will be a regular map, not a flag map like District402 or Escort. For anyone who has attempted to record and playback a demo only to find it fail will be pleased to hear that Valve, in their usual helpful manner, has responded and fixed the underlying bug in the Half-Life 2 engine. Demo playback should begin functioning as soon as they release their next update for Half-Life 2 via Steam.
And I'm going on holiday too, so I don't miss the patch Is it likely to be the weekend after, or the one after that?
Does these new animations include new melee animations as well? or since there will be iron sights will the melee attacks be removed? or will there be a seperate melee button? (could be nice to seperate melee and grenades to a button like in halo, Sin:episodes, Defense alliance..ect)
Hope the vacation was was just that. Vacation. I can't wait to play 1.06. 1.05 was a huge improvement in the game. Game play is getting better and the community growing. Keep it up. Its nice to watch the game get better.
cause we all know how much harder it is to make one for pistols etc.. afaik the crosshair is used when you arent zoomed in.
