does this even improve performance? to my knowledge it only tells vvis that all contained visleaves can see eachother and so speeds up compilation times (significantly, depening on the volume it encompasses). it should have neither a postive nor negative impact on ingame performance.
Most optimisation leads to vvis compile time improvements, with clients not feeling any positive changes. This is the case with that as well. The good news is that it means we can actually compile coast in a reasonable amount of time, so any fixes will be much easier to implement.
