Can someone fix the broken tickets on escort. The tickets decrease once the map loads whether someone is killed or not, by the time the round starts the tickets have gone down substantially.
There is no commander vote on escort, it's being a known issue for a while now but it really does need fixing.
the hell? it works like this on every map. dont just remove it it works the same on eastborough. thats how ticket bleed works. dont blame me for coding it so it bleeds on map load the first flag on escort is about 7 minutes. more than enough to capture it
i feel like i remember it doing it on map load but i'll take your word for it isnt it just an extra second or two though since it only takes that long before someone joins and the wait time starts?
No the tickets go down fast and on be we started with 600 or so and nf started with like 250 or so, both sides started with alot less than they shuld even if my numbers are wrong, it was never like that. the tickets bleed all through wait time 2 minutes. Tickets never bled during wait time from what I recall it starts once the round starts. that doesn't even make sense to have it bleed when no one is playing
Its generally accepted escort has like 120 tickets extra at the start to counter this, and having it bleed when no ones on would stop the server getting stuck on escort with no/low population.
be is supposed to start the round after wait time with over 1000 tickets and it doesn't with the glitch.
I have to wonder why you think and assume BE needs 1000 tickets to start with since the first cap is close and gives extra tickets anyway.
The absolutely atrocious balance of escort aside, the fix to ticket bleeding is very simple. I actually thought that complete already implemented it but his fix still hasn't been published to the live game, but his post indicates that this isn't the case.
Add a "hidden" capturable flag to the spawning area of NF with correctly set up bleeding properties that gets immediately captured when NF spawn for the first time. That's how nuclear and raid are set up.
It was never implemented in this way and has always been deducting tickets but nobody noticed and/or cared about it.
I don't think so I never recall starting BE with 600 tickets and nf with tickets in the 200's when it was played on VIPER
VIPER has server-side ticket multipliers set to 1.2 or something similar. On top of that, the one change to the way tickets are handled was that instead of having BE start with all tickets available, they gain a portion of them each time they capture a flag for the first time. That way, the map ends sooner if BE is stuck on an earlier flag. The bleed itself hasn't been changed.
