Looks pretty cool. Probably be manufactured in China, we have to stop China.
The ad is a bit over the top though. I'm not sure that I want to game every second of the day, this guy never puts the thing down, he like goes on holiday and sees all his friends and walks his dog and goes on a road trip and he never stops. This is going to one of those things like Pokemon Go that I hate and don't understand but am secretly jealous of

This reminds me I have to fix my wii u, thanks for that.

I guess it's neat. I assume though because the screen slips into that dock station it means it won't support touch screen stuff. I actually like the touch screen on the wii u and 3ds, it's made for a lot of fun stuff. Still though, it kinda just brings to mind a tablet that you attach a controller to.

I mean I will probably get it, but just like with every console purchase I'll get it when there's a game out for it I really want to play.

The last good console they made was the DS.

First off, <3 complete for making thread

As soon as it's available to purchase, I will do so. Just like every Nintendo console before it.

I'm somewhat wary of how the Zelda game will play on it vs. Wii U. It was originally developed for Wii U and I'm worried the Switch version will suck somehow just like the Wii version did compared to the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. That said, there's no gimmick to shoehorn in here, instead there's more likely a gimmick to remove (the gamepad inventory/minimap). Heck, how were people playing Splatoon with just pro controllers? You need the minimap to jump around the map, it's like the biggest difference between a nub and a pro in that game.

i found a better pic that shows everything
    gallery02.jpg

its a handheld portable did you not see its kickstand
airstrikes too. but im sure theres a way to get around that. and eh, jumping takes too long anyways

i will say that i got my wii u not even a year ago (bundle with smash and splatoon) and have already played it more than my ps3, which ive had since 2007 (maybe because empires took over but anyways~)

This design just screams "Techinical Failures" if one of the slides to put the controller breaks, you are fucked.

Generally nintendo stuff is pretty good at not breaking, so I don't think that's a real issue.

See this topic is never going to be 100 pages. This forum loves politics!

Apparently there's going to be no more news on this until next year so this topic is pretty useless.

I suspect Nintendo marketing is two factions at war with each other. One faction tries to prevent any success, and the other is strangely progressive and lets Mega64 do advertisements or comes up with ideas like Nintendo Directs. It's completely nonsensical.

Console names make no sense. Nintendo Revolution -> Nintendo Wii? Freakin' come on. Then the New 3DS? Man I don't even know where to begin.

And I know, lets repeat our mistakes in Zelda and release the game for two consoles at the same time! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee

Didn't that video show skyrim? If so... How the hell will skyrim fit on a game card?

Surely it's gotta have a SD slot, to hold downloaded games... And to increase the storage...

the screen is apparently 6.2 inches and 720p as well as a touch screen, from the same people who leaked the detachable tablet system idea
i'd argue its a good thing that its going 720 instead of 1080. noone can tell the difference and it saves battery life

this is pretty much how far i like to get into rumor milling, unlike many others on this forum

Huh, that's the same size of the wiiu gamepad. It looked larger to me. Still though I think that's a good size and it wasn't like the wii u gamepad looked bad either, so this will be a nice upgrade

There are rumors it charges over USB-C. That would be pretty awesome.
