6 seconds doesn't seem like a lot, but multiply that number by the amount of vine videos you've watched and well you've wasted probably 10 whole minutes of your life watching quick fire humour, or really unfunny stuff (90% of everything is garbage). Vine is to Youtube what Twitter is to Facebook - quicker, to the point, less content, and the users are all on ADHD. Released in Jan. 2013, I've only really seen it spark up in the past month. Examples: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX86j2FhZSU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PclFC33IhTk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtSLSlVyK0c It's like a photoblog in video form (but not a video blog). If Twitter and Instagram got popular, which imo have always been obsolete because Facebook and Tumblr continue to exist, then I think it's safe to assume Vine will be here to stay. What does the Empires crew think? Funnily enough, I've just read Fahrenheit 451 and can now imagine news agencies moving from big websites to 140 word post and 6 second long broadcast. Yeah... all we need now are comic books without words.
