I don't know if this has ever been suggested but if it has it needs to be suggested again. Currently the limit is 8 mines, and obviously going over that means your first mine dissapears. this is great, because you could just reposition your mines, but can there be a way of making them all dissapear at once. currently the secondary fire for the mine does nothing so you could make it that.

Why? What's the point of suddenly having less mines on the field? Why on earth would you EVER use it. If you need to replace your mines, sure, place new ones. But this is just retarded. Kill yourself.

Secondary fire could take a mine off the field that you point at.

Secondary fire should make the mine you are pointing at explode. Discuss. Maybe a separate skill?

So we have grenadiers squat, pointing over the same patch of mines for every escort game? Honestly, any selective detonation of specific mines will result in nothing but camping, now I think about it. If we give the players too much freedom, they'll use it to make the game shit. It has to be kept as simple as possible.

Actually, I've got a pretty original idea. What if (and this is pretty crazy right), when you place the 9th mine (after you have 8 down), the 1st blows up. I mean, no-one can compete with that originality, right?

Cyanide is an unreliable form of suicide. It's less reliable than just injecting air into yourself.

Fine then go get a sliding miter saw, put your wrist on the cutting line, cut it, then dunk it in rubbing alcohol.

lol, still talking about suicide after the thread has advanced past it, very pro.

Another idea - right click drops all 8 mines at once!

needs more small hud icons (not on minimap, but like in regular view) that show where your mines are located. needs more defusing your own mines so you can move them to another location.

also sometimes it's a pain in the ass to place 4 more mines or switch classes to get rid of the ignored-ass inert mines in some inaccessible part the map. the grenadier needs a UI-based means (like engineer) of managing placed mines, but getting rid of them all seems pretty wasteful. or he should be able to click on the minimap (like the spawn minimap) and delete his mines or whatever.

Sometimes I'd like to remove a single misplaced mine without going through replacing all mines I layed before that one. But I also don't see any reason to remove all mines with 2nd mouse button. I would probably click accidently and lose all mines. The system we have now, that replaces the oldest mine with the new one is just better. First, because while placing the new ones the old ones can still be a threat. Second, because most of the time you have only 5 mines and can't replace all of them in one go. If this suggestion is even serious, could you explain to me what the benefit is other than a relaxing feeling that you 'cleaned up your stuff' (that I don't share ;) )?

Right click (Secondary fire) should let you pick your mine back up :(

What if you lay like 8 mines for a stupid heavy driver in Slaughtered and the commander drops a barracks on that spot? You would have to go all the way to the barracks and change class and go back to Gren.

    Just a thought...
