Amazingly, I read ARN13's Post about the movies, remembered that I've got it, and set myself to work on trying to find out how to get custom models into the game and I've found out how to do it. If any of the Devs have got the 2d model of the soldiers, it would be very helpfull Equivilent of this (if possible)
There's a plug-in for photoshop(works in elements too) that allows opening and saving .vtfs. Look into the mapping forum for a thread about hornyrabbits custom models. The link is somewhere there. :p

The texture needs to be the same resolution, and it needs to have the parts of the texture right. If your texture doesn't fits you can either adjust it so it fits, or edit the model.
No its the fact that the whole body is there for the movies and only half and half for the empires VMF. This is Not easy
If there would be a way for me to load the models into maya I would gladly make the UVs fit to your texture, A empires movie would be awesome, but even more awesome with the new gun models and planes
There is a model decompiler somewhere... Then all you'd need is a .smd import plug-in. Edit: Teh page with teh decompiler.
Why not just import the empires player model into the movies game? Or can you? It would be a lot easier then messing around with the UV map.
Re-working the unrawps is going to be alot more of a pain in the donkey then it is worth... But then figuring out the why it messes up could be even worse... The skeletons might not be compatable, the bump maps, or any other maps might not be supported and the model tries to load them messing it up... Can you be more specific of how it messes up?
