To be honest I think I'm pretty much done with this engine. I don't really have the motivation to do anything with it.
And so should you by your own logic.
I never used it. I tried out SpeedTree for a short while a LOOOONG time ago, so I know roughly what this software is trying to achieve.
The reason I linked that tool is, that you don't need to be a modeler to create some trees. It's basically the same as SpeedTree, just open source.
I already linked this once in the dev char, but have it again: http://ngplant.org/ Make your own trees! ;P
You, because that is what you linked with the picture. ;P
An unmanned turret is definitely a nice idea. So far it would only give a different look in the game, no new mechanics.
Vulcan, you are missing the point from what I linked you. The idea was not digital camouflage, but the principle of fractal, multi-scale patterns....
Looks pretty good! With smooth shading those should be ready to go in game. Though the ones on the sides look a bit like the might fall off.
Look up view ports for tanks. Usually you have some in front for gunner view and some kind of distance measuring device that usually needs 2 view...
Have to say, I'm not a fan of the large windows on the side. Not at all. With large openings like that you might as well have the full tank be open.
Those are there to hold the rubber surfaces in place. You don't run metal wheels on metal treads.
First thing I thought was Elefant/Ferdinand as well. I like the detail you already put into the treads, but those screws on the rim of the wheels...
