You're funny. Prefixes are great for googling HL2 maps. I had one HELL of a time searching for GMOD maps because it was named as "hugeflatmap" or something similar and generic instead of "gm_hugeflatmap." This is a problem because many mods other than GMOD like SourceForts have a "hugeflatmap" map. Oh and people liked to make their own version of hfm as well so you could get kicked out because you have the version without the fort in the middle. Or if it's some crazy shit like "zombiemayhem2007xxxedition" instead of "zm_xxx_mayhem2007." As you can see, it looks a lot cleaner as well. Also, as you may know, Empires don't work well with Xfire. So when I see someone with the map as "emp_valley." I know that they're playing Empires, so I join the game. While if the map was "valley," I don't know if they're playing actual HL2 : DM, or some other mod.
Oh, ffs! I wasn't talking abot renaming maps, I just meant the PR page looks cluttered with "Emp_Cyclopean, Emp_GlycenCity, Emp_SteetsOfFire, Emp_UrbanChaos". Wouldn't it look much better with "Cyclopean, Glycen City, Streets Of Fire, Urban Chaos" instead?
I got your point now. And answer is yes. I think every mod does that (excluding Empires' now) because it looks a lot nicer and you can always see the full name of any map when you are joining a server.
I now Know exactly why empires is so awsome. Because Krenzo is an X-Com fan! Krenz we should be friends
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! Wait a sec, if I run over to hug Krenzo, too, then it'll be like... an X-Com orgy... or something... /me vacillates.
UFO 2000 or something? if so then yes; I played it... Though if you heard of UFO2000 you probably heard of Xenocide; I'm part of their dev team and should probably start doing artwork for them again...
I can't get Xenocide to work, I thought UFO2k was meant to be a multi-player XCOM only, and UFO:AI is the only working one I know of.
