So my Dad bought a 360 (Elite) for no apparent reason. Just randomly happened o.o. I was going to buy it myself for Rock Band, but whatever ^.^. What games are good? I've got Ghost Recon 2, but I've heard Rainbow Six Vegas is absoluetly amazing and the same about The Crackdown and Viva Pinnata. Assasins Creed is out this Novemeber 5'th if I remember correctly, hell yeah!
If you like FPS fighting and driving around in vehicles (and flying around) and don't mind the storyline, Halo 3 is coming out in a few days.
Isn't ghost recon 2 a pretty old game? R6:V is pretty good for a console shooter but co-op story doesn't give you any story, just the missions to play. I quite like that project gotham racing if you get the steering wheel and pedals for it. Halo 3 is out in a couple of days as said and although I don't find gears of war particularly interesting, a lot of people seem to like it. There's bioshock if you don't have it for PC. Time shift is out next month which looks fairly interesting.
If you're into RPGs, Japan style, I suggest Eternal Sonata. As you'll probably hear over & over again Gears of War :p . Possibly Halo 3, it looks like fun compared to the first two (I heard it has four player online co-op). There is also Project Gotham Racing 3, Part 4 is coming soon. Then you got stuff like GTA 4 , Lost Odyssey, maybe Alan Wake (TBA) coming next year.
Ugh, Gears could've ben a good idea a few months ago, but these days it seems a tad boring, so you should only pick it up if you can find it cheap somewhere (or borrow). As for any free-roaming games, Crackdown and Dead Rising are pretty darn awesome, and you should try both. Then there's Mercs 2 and GTAIV, but both have been pushed to 08 (Mercs might come sooner). Assassin's creed look's pretty epic too. You could also browse through the marketplace- demo's and try out the ones you find interesting
Call of Duty 4, and Assasins Creed are coming out The first week of november. I'm going to wait for those. Not sure if I'm going to get CoD4 for PC or 360, I hear its not as deathmatchy on pc. I already beat Gears of War on Co-op with a friend. The multiplayer isn't that entertaining so screw buying that. I'm probably going to rent Halo for the singleplayer, I can't stand Halo multiplayer. Anyone seen Mobile Ops? Its a gundam game but your not always in a Gundam. Your able to be on foot and in tanks etc, (and Gundams of course). Looks pretty entertaining , hopefully the Gundam combat will be fun as Armored Core.
careful with dead rising, its stupid hard according to OXM reviews. gears of war can be a difficult game for sime with a huge learning curve. its strategic based. play it like halo and you will die. its cover intensive. me, solokiller, and private sandbag are getting Halo 3. if you get it we could do a 4 player co-op marathon
Years? You can probably get Dead Rising from Thepiratebay.org or other sites, and it's not even made for PC. It's just a matter of weeks before Halo 3 gets ripped to PC. Also; ALL HAIL CAPTAIN KING
for crossplatform, you would NEED official game. theres no way a hacked-for-PC version of Halo 3 will work crossplatform with X360 and XBL
no. you need to understand Xbox Live. the way it works makes it impossible for hacked PC to interface with X360 ingame.
It's not going to happen and the dead rising on the pirate bay is likely for modded 360s to play pirated games.
