I'm not sure if this goes into the right place, but... tanks should have flamethrowers :D it just seemed interesting as I was playing DoD:S today
Panzer Tanks > Everything. (Panthers are good, but panzer elites come with MG42's and machine gunnners, plus a strong cannon) Ontopic: I think it would make tanks a bit too strong... with heavy machine guns and HE cannons, they can already take out infantry from afar, and if you managed to get close to a tank as infantry, they can just run you over. Besides, most infantry won't try to get close to a tank unless you're a grenader, or if you're good and can stay out of it's turret range. Even then, the flamethrower would be useless.
You'd be surprised how close some tank combat gets. I routinely dance around tanks, mocking them with my vastly inferior engie SMG. By the time I've run out of ammo, one of my team's tanks has usually shown up and blasted it to smithereens.
Tank dancing is fun. Sadly, I usually start lagging and mess up horribly and get run over. Other than that, though, tank dancing is fun. It's quite possible.
Ok people please actually read what I said... Tank dancing is fun, can be strategic, and isn't that hard. But remember what tank dancing is. now think of how you can't be hit by a turret's FOV. Like I said, unless the flame thrower has uber-spill range or a dramatically increased FOV (that would make it look crazy) then it's still pointless. If you get close to infantry to use it, they will just run out of it's range or run too close for it to shoot.
theres a flame outside the barrel, and gas is blown past the flame surprisingly, this was the best on the first page searching for flamethrower
