    well one problem I really see with it is that its just giong to annoy the f out of people, not like taken damage when you hit the wall you're hugging, that makes sense. Taking heat also makes sense, but its double the pain, you overheat and you can also take damage from overheating.

    I can see how that would be annoying. If this was to be implemented, the other penalties (stalling, inability to fire) should then be toned down. For example: instead of not being able to shoot at all, the reload time would simply double; and instead of being unable to move at all, the max speed and acceleration rate would be cut in half. This will give the tank drivers a choice to sacrifice health for more damage without becoming a sitting duck or not being able to fire weapons.

    You could explain this functionality away by saying that the damage is caused by overheated ammunitions. There could even be an audible warning to the driver; an alarm of sorts.
