Insurgency

Well, I tried it. It has good art and music. I can't find anything else positive to say.

 

I heard the voice acting was so bad it was funny.

 

That's what I thought too, except I hated the music.

 

Hopefully it's not as funny as everyone spamming "TAKE COVAARR!!!" :p

I'm gonna try & DL this later & see how horrible or good this is.

 

It sounds like an average person trying to sound tough, but he has no balls so it comes out like a whimper.

 

Actually, I heard about the voice acting thing FROM arklansman. So that explains why we both thought the same thing.

And for the record, i LIKE the Russian voices in Empires. "Take Covar" is funny and good!

 

Megel may not have the best russian accent, but you feel like he put some enthusiasm behind his voice. That's what means a lot to me.

And you CAN NOT tell me that the Russian Taunts aren't awesome. Don't even pretend to lie about that. "You've covered my entire field in blood" is awesome.

 

I single handedly stopped 6 US guys from getting one of the points for over 10 minutes with my sniper rifle. Shows that it isn't entirely balanced :p

 

Actually I started typing that before you posted.

 

Snipers are always unbalanced, the only way to balance them is tanks, and to balance that you need aircraft.
The only effective way to balance aircraft is either mass automated turrets or lots of hyperspeed homing missile equipped fighters.

Also, STILL, what snipers are we talking about? Insurgency snipers? I'm confused.

before you even bother replying, KillX, it's a joke about young people and voices, jeez, lighten up.

 

Any snipers, it's just unbalanced in Insurgency.

 

Both Shinzon and Sliff are Russian, I haven't heard them complain about the voices

 

Tbh I like the taunts. I don't know what he says, but they're still good.

 

I just played INS.

it's pretty unspectacular. I lagged out pretty hard and had to restart my computer. What is so new or different about it that warrents the attention it deserves? Because it's in Iraq, because there's no crosshair? It seems like DoD:S with different skins and weapons

 

Just another example of the bias that gives these other games good press. I don't even wanna think about it!
