There's a lack of me on that comm sheet, aka "most generic commander you could hope for". Also lawliet's map awareness is poop, he keeps getting ninja'd. Actually wanted to ask a question, when are games starting? Whenever you get to 25 players a team or "eventually". I ask because I think something concrete might help with players joining.
I SHOULD BE 30/30! I only rush on Slaughtered because Fuck that map. That's also really the only map I comm on anymore...
I think my ranking is too harsh... depends on how hard I'm trying. Although, i do give him that my map awareness is a bit shitty.
Most of my "strategy" on the same played maps is just keeping the wheels of war turning. But, i just played a game of canyon, where i turned it around by researching upgraded grens, and splitting their territory in two.
5 = best in this sheet or 5 = pro? If it's former, it makes sense. Also, Hobbes is underrated, as always. If you want me to pick just 2 comms from that sheet to command my scrim team TONIGHT(if there is a game), one of them would be hobbes. One of the ways I use to judge a comm's map awareness : "Can the comm drop me refinery before I ask for it?"
Oh really. As someone who had to spam "ref" in chat like 50 times a round, I swear to god even most comms listed in that sheet just never look at minimap.
Some people might think "drop ref before request" is trivial. But I tell ya, it's not. First, it's showing "how often does the comm check the minimap?" Once a minute? Once every 10 secs? TBH any level 5 comm (I mean, actual level 5, pro level), should check minimap once every 10~15 secs, extract necessary info out of it within 2 secs, literally 2 secs, and then get back on the job. Second, it shows the comm's ability to "classify" areas. In short, "is this area secured or not?" Knowing the grounds you actually own is important.
Let's not critique MrX's way of ranking comm's... let him have his own ranking system. Let's not argue about his ranks. It's just a number MrX gave you on what he thinks. Develop your own if you think his is flawed. Let's not derail this thread.
So because we are at page 6 we should forgo rules? That's not a valid excuse. Let's keep this on topic. I think this league needs wages. I'll join in if wages are added. Also, what is the vehicle limit Spike? You have "limit of 10" then also say that it is limited to 1 per 2 people. Is it maximum of 10 so 24 players per team would be 10 vehicles but 18 players on a team would be 9 vehicles?
If you replace your #105 reply with this, I'd take it and think you actually don't want any derailing discussion to happen. I wouldn't have posted my comment. But you missed it. "tank limit will be half the team player count so if we have we have 10 per team the tank limit will be 5 vehicles per team", I think this would be the vehicle limit, Spike probably forgot to erase that "vehicle limit is set at 10".
