RPG Change Suggestion

    Change the RPG to always deal damage equal to 2.5 plates of armor or so.

    Ideal numbers for my thought:
    Two rpgs to one side leaves an APC, AFV, or LT at very low hp
    (two rpgs to one side would kill it if they had a gren squad lead for the bonus damage)

    Medium tanks take 5 shots to kill and 4 with squad lead?

    remove heavy tanks they are so unsatisfying because nobody dies

    Why would they remove heavies... if anything decrease there frequency on the field...

    lol, what? nobody dies in heavy tanks? you wish!

    2.5 plates of armor? what does that mean? plain? reflective? reactive?

    Assuming you're talking about composite that means RPGs would 1 plain AFV, LT and APC. Enjoy your overpowered grenadiers for free!

    I really need to stop reading suggestions...

    No, he means always eat 2.5 plates per shot regardless the armour. It should be coded, since I don't think it can be done with scripts. It can be calculated by increasing/decreasing damage from RPGs for every armour, but that's boring.

    Just saying, this is probably the best suggestion out of all Metruption's suggestions.

    Except for "removing heavy" and "2.5 plates".

    If I am to implement this, I'd make it 2 plates instead of 2.5 plates.

    That's easy as hell for me.

    Changes nothing when it comes to mine and mortar damage though.

    I am not saying I'll implement exactly that. But you can't deny that it's "not a really bad idea".

    Grenadier already deals decent damage toward light vehicles.

    I would increase RPG/mortar's damage against heavy tanks and that's all.

    That decreases the value of heavies and increases others'. To avoid that you would need to increase damage from rpg/mortar against all vehicles.

    Eating 2 plates of reactive per shot on a heavy is kinda harsh. While I want infantry to be able to be effective against all threats, I don't think this is the best choice.

    They all are shit now anyway.
    Reactive however should most definitely not get eaten by rpgs, thats just stupid.

    The game should be made into more of a combined arms type combat where tanks are seen as supportive in the infantry sphere, but also can have massive tank battles. Perhaps, changing one of the armors to be anti-infantry would be good?

    You mean like it was until the massive influx of res and armour buffs?

    Anyway an anti inf armor would more than likely be useless anyway. Tank will always be eachothers biggest threat, as they should be, its just that they are their sole threat now. You make a specialised armor like that and youre going to be loosing tanks battles. Empires research system doesnt support niche research at all.
