lol so wtf fok u all My point was that the Greek Government is incapable of handling anything at the moment. Most of the deputies are dumb and have no idea what is going on. A few days ago someone suggested the brothels should be allowed to be closer to 3star hotels and above. You can read crazy lies in the news these day which make you wonder if they are really trolling the people or they are just plain stupid. I hope they do what they are told at least. That's weird, power was out and it posted my reply but only the first part before the pc shut down? wtf
they do what they are told. with no money you just cant do shit. 3/4th of the "help" so far went into lowering the losses of european banks. whats really bad for you, they now hold barely any papers anymore (or so its said), next "fuckup" -> GG but ofc, that was all socialist governments - especially csu/cdu is known to be extra socialist, schäuble is often also called the reincarnation of marx - behind that. its totally socialist ideas fucking you over ...
dunno, its not even clear to the public who owes what to whom. and it wont happen anyway. not under this premises. theres no monetarian profit to gain from deeper integration. you can squeeze much more from the individual economies if you have competition. because this competition can only be at the level of social standards (over taxation and less social security as additional costs), since there barely is any technological or knowledge difference among european countries. to accept that, nationalist resentiments are exploited. greece fault was, you guys are just lazy. you just sit at the beach all day, eating gyros and drinking ouzo - even though the average life work time is higher then in those countries considered hard-working like germany - thats the picture which was portrayed during the conflict. people willingly accepted, it was an easy explanation and ofc why give money to lazy fucks? can you imagine the outrage here, we are supposed to fund a bunch of beach playboys? u wot m8? like space_oddity said, divide et impera at its finest.
Money is only a concept, a concept easily created... Greece could have easily overcome the issue by just put up a public vote for resolving its dept by decree and saying the collective previous politicians are responsible for it, and forwarding the dept collectors to those politicians. Then asking large emergency import and export taxations and issuing its own currency again. then set up socialized food systems based on foreign aid to prevent as many people as possible from starving. reach out to other countries you just screwed in the butt for food and distribute on government level until food production normalizes and internal economy regains stability. Half your economy will go bust, massive regression, but 10 or so years later you will be immensely stronger then dragging out this shit over decades of dept control. Also gives you a massive chance to reform against corruption. Countries have done it before, and it mostly works... unless you start ww1 again ofc. Greece is only as powerless as its money shackles are strong, and there is literally nothing but promises keeping Greece from resolving its dept.
if they did it now they would get tarred and feathered, if they did it at the height of the EU drama concerning stuff they would have been 'the heroes of the revolution' and Greece would make the best cigars of Europe but they would be illegal contraband in the EU.
Private sector of Greece is among the most hardworking of EU. Lazy untrustworthy greks is a stereotype. There are many examples of corruption and lazyness but it's just some parts that are like that. There is no continuity between different governments. Leaving the euro is not wise with such politicians. Greece controls 23.2% of the world's total merchant fleet, making it the largest in the world. You can't ignore that.
Exactly, and they squandered that advantage by submitting to the EU in the long run... they should have just caused another global recession and rebuilt their country on more solid foundations... I live in Belgium, and im terribly in favour of the EU, but sometimes you need to bleed to improve. the EU has become fat and complacent, and thank god recently dodged the bullet of having the former ottoman empire join its members but this shit gotta change before it implodes.
Who kept loaning them the money in the first place? it was us... thinking they could keep check and we could control them through their loans. not only is that a scummy move, it blew up in the EUs face... everyone here is just as guilty.
there was plenty options, only no people with balls enough to take them... heck russia offered to pay greeces debt who cares if they just want european influence greece would have been fine.
Europa ist töt. Danke Mutti Merkel, you've literally done a worse job than the Nazis. Österreich will sink with the ship, whether FPÖ wins or not.
i think it should be up to the (member)states to decide what the laws should be in their individual (member)states. that there will never be a big failure of the union of (member)states. states rights! hint: its not going to be the muslims to sink europe, itll be the whites, AGAIN
I've worked with a Greek shipping company for 10 odd years, real old school. Absolutely the nicest & hardest working bunch of people I've ever met.
Statistically its the Belgians that work the hardest, per capita we have the highest productivity of the EU if i am to believe some random EU statistics bureau
thanks its like that and thats why everything goes down the crapper. thats why some states help refugees and some - especially those who were in similar* positions only just 30-40 years ago - dont and noone can do shit about it. the eu isnt the us, its way looser as federation. the eus legislation is split in two, there is the directly voted european parliament and there is the council made up by ministers of the individual states governments. now guess which one has no say and which one has to legally follow an unanimity principle for decision making. now you know why the eu doesnt work. there have been 2 attempts to change that and put more power to the eu parliament, but guess which parties were against it? correct, the same right wing parties constantly saying the eu would be disfunct (which it is, thanks to them). so who actually has a say in the eu? the individual states. *where the only similarity really only is that they fled their countries because the system broke down. neither of the european refugees back then were war-refugees. but even then austria alone took over 200k hungarian refugees in '56. in the 80s about 1.5mio poles fled to western european states. when east germany collapsed the whole state was integrated into western-germany, that did only cost either. but now its those countries blockading everything, with the argument it would only be "economic refugees" - those who profited from the eu the most help the least.
oh yeah its for sure looser in the eu, but theres definitely a movement in the US to make its states much more independent (which would of course be a disaster)
