    I'm kinda amazed the dm barely pauses at anything, but I'm not sure I like how he tells pretty much what the characters are doing, I feel like the players should be telling what they are doing.

    Well...that was kind of lame. I guess it works for promotional material, but they were there to do little more than roll dice...got the roll, not so much on the play, lol.

    Newer players tend to need more direction, and I have experiences that proves this. If they just go "yeah I attack this guy" it's often easier to just elaborate on it yourself instead of pulling on their tongue. That being said, asking them how they do X thing is totes cool since it encourages them to speak up. Also note how whatever they tell the Dm, he very smoothly adds it into the story he weaves. That's something I'd love to be able to do as smoothly and engagingly as him. Also his sound effects and accents. I want those.

    @Ikalx: That's the format, really. DM + 5 players crammed into just over 30 minutes leaves little space for interaction, but each of them did a teeny weeny bit of role playing anyways. I personally prefer our more sluggish approach. ;)

    Yeah 30 minutes doesn't leave much time for anything. They didn't seem super newbie to me tbh, that was the thing. I've played with looots of newbies and they do need hand holding, but not a bunch of semi-to-quite experienced players.

    I guess the other thing was that they didn't get to talk much between themselves, they seemed to mostly be in one on ones with the DM, with asides to each other. Though that does happen in new groups fairly often.

    He's really smooth, of course, and insanely quick at telling the story and weaving people's actions in. Great voice and voice acting, too. It's just that...there wasn't much space for roleplay, I guess. But yeah, 30 minutes is a tiny tiny amount of time!

    Was fun at least with the badass bandits being neutered in a hilarious fashion.
    If it keeps on going like this then the hags house is going to end up a mass grave. Theres like over 10 skeletons around the place already.
