give each team a heavy tank with 0 weapons at the start of the game, but it cant be switched on a repair pad
I've done that a couple of times, make a heavy with nothing but reactive or something and just run over people. It can be fun.
Honestly sounds like something from emp minigames, one team is stuck in tanks and the other is grens with unlimited rockets. Actually rifles with stickys might be better, it'd be like jousting.
But there's now two vehicles the infantry has to work around, not just one. You put the better boomtanker in the CV and the worse one in the heavy, and not only do you have more harrassment and mobility potential, but also a recovery mechanic for when the CV gets caught. Why do I even argue against this? It's not like it'll become official.
You say that like it's all bad things. But for realz, you would hopefully put the better boomtanker(or just the person who really wants to boom tank) in the heavy because they aren't going to be commanding at the same time to help prevent early game losses. It could possibly also start stalled like the commander is so people can't do early game rushes somewhere. It wouldn't be hard to give it custom stuff like being slower or radically high acceleration along with custom armor. Just either up the weight of the chassis or use slot types so regular heavies/tanks can't use it. You can even give it custom handling scripts(a heavy that drives like the nf light? No way!?!?) I never once agreed to this being a good idea btw, but it is a fun idea.
moderators shouldn't move a thread containing a suggestion from the suggestions subforum to the offtopic forum and then not post in the thread why the thread was moved. when you move a thread or take action because of a user's post that user should be told exactly why that action was taken -jokes on you, im not a mod
I wondered why someone would move it to offtopic, could one of the devs maybe move this to the Rejected sub-forum instead?
