Well the Demo is out ladies and gents... Im downloading it right now, and thought to start a thread :D 3.5 hours, and im done... lol... http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy...topslot;title;2&om_act=convert&om_clk=topslot
Yep; and it sets your homepage automaticly to a random spam site; as well expect a phone call offering you new car insurance 1 hour after you install it... Now the tricky part is the mailman; as they cannot 100% guarantee that your flyers will arrive within 24 hours...
Defiently getting it after I get off of work. How bad is the download? Slow bitrates? Where you being sarcastick or are you seriouse about the adds? Sorry Have to ask it is EA after all.:mad:
Yeah Im getting the demo off Pirate Bay, the download just jumped to 200K... Search The Pirate bay for C&C demo should be up there... About the adds: Yeah im being sarcastic, And dang... my speed just fell to 100... and its going down... down... lol... shouldve kept quiet... Its insane; how in the world do they expect you to download a 1 gig demo at a speed of 25 kb/s from gamespot or any other website? ;;
Ya, I'm getting it of TPB instead of gayspot (no offence). I love the articles, but file exclusive download crap is not my cup of tea, especially with a subscriber service for stuff that's free anyway. Torrents are a little unpredictable but if you're with it fast enough you should get some decent speeds.
I have free access to Fileplanet, so i just reserved it yesterday and left my computer on. its already installed edit: omg...CnC3 IS PURE SECKS!!!!
It's fun. Felt much more like a command and conquer than generals did, mostly because of the traditional base building and sidebar interface. A couple things I didn't like and not too sure about. Mainly things they carried over from generals such as flame and grenades clearing out a building in one shot. Teching felt too quick and units felt a little uninspired but overall it felt like a command and conquer and was pretty fun to play. The good definately outweighed the bad and I'm happy the AI was actually fairly decent on easy balanced
hmm...it seems like they took some out or something, kinda wierd. And they went outta there way to get some good actors for the cutscenes. edit: hehe wow. games go really fast, everything is really quick. i found the ultimate combo. get two mammoth tanks and 3 apcs with zone troopers or w/e. pretty much what happens when you engage a force: 1: You see enemy. 2: Apcs move in first 3: FIRE TEH LAZORS PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW enemy infantry die. 4. Mammoth tanks take care of the rest. ALTERNATE: fill the APCS with grenadiers. no infantry will survive, and you can take out buildings like that.
WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS! Myea, the gameplay isn't really my cup of tee. It's really fast. As for the intro mission, they had some bad plot. At the end you get the ion cannon? I mean wtf, why the hell go there in the first place if you're just gonna nuke it. Makes things easy, but really, I doubt you'll get the cannon in the missions after it so easily. The FMV's are pretty sweet though, but I already saw some "wavy camera". It's kind of distracting. And watching the philadelphia explode on the news, bah, I thought I was in the freaking GDI, I figured the general would have some alternate means of knowing wth is going on. Now if they showed it after the fact, but live? The only redeeming fact was Kane hacking the broadcast, but that seemed kinda corny to me too. I would've done things differently.
hehe, im constantly amazed by how easy the easy comp is. just hold off the first wave off troops with some garrisoned riflemen and snipers. then just get some zone troopers in APCs, some mammoth tanks, then use all of the special ability drops at the same time, and instant death squad.
I think that's the problem with them, there's nothing particularly new at all There does seem to be a few balance issues need sorting out though. The ion cannon for one
Played the demo, graphics are amazing and run on anything O.O. Not going to buy though. I've had my 7 C&C's, thats quite enough thank you.
